The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, coordinating team activities, and ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy in all warehouse functions. This role serves as the point of contact between warehouse associates and management, helping to maintain high productivity and workflow consistency.
Shift: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 5:00am to 5:40pm
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example in maintaining compliance with FDA, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and company SOPs.
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking of goods.
- Ensure proper use of warehouse equipment and enforce safety standards and protocols.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and assist in regular cycle counts and stock audits.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to optimize space, streamline operations, and solve logistical issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding order fulfillment and inventory needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Track team productivity and report any operational issues or delays.
- Operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment as needed (certification may be required).
- Operate and train staff on warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment; 1+ year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., inventory systems, Microsoft Office).
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Forklift certification
- Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as needed.
Physical Demands and Abilities:
- • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- • Required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- • Able to stand for up to 10 hours a day.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. The work environment may involve exposure to loud noise levels. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and must be worn in designated areas. Work may take place in laboratory and production settings where strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols is required.
