Your Team, Your ImpactMarvell’s Connectivity Business Unit supports customer designing next gen infrastructure with Marvell’s high-speed connectivity portfolio for Data Center and AI application. This role is specifically to support our PCIe interconnect products. Acting as the primary line of defense, PCIe application engineering team review customer designs with Marvell products, provide SW/HW/Systems levels support, and resolve customer reported issues with a direct impact to revenue as part of the Connectivity Business Unit. Applications engineering team works with state-of-the-art process node and technology enabling next-gen AI and datacenter applications that get deployed at major cloud customers.
What You Can Expect
In this role, you will:
- Proactively and efficiently support Marvell’s PCIe interconnect products.
- Own and drive customer issues to resolution, including replicating customer issues and capturing detailed debug information to coordinate with internal teams (SW/HW, systems) for fixes.
- Help/train customers to understand Marvell product architecture and features; promote and demo product functionality with Sales, Field Application Engineers (FAEs), and Marketing.
- Act as the technical interface between customers and Marvell’s engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with FAEs, PLMs, marketing, and engineering to gather customer feedback and communicate needs for product improvements or new features.
- Develop technical collateral: application notes, user guides/manuals, release notes, white papers, etc.
- Occasionally travel to industry events or customer sites as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7-10+ years of relevant experience; OR a Master’s / PhD in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years experience.
- Demonstrable experience with SerDes, high-speed interface protocols/systems, mixed-signal ICs, and digital signal processing (DSP).
- Hands-on lab experience, especially with PAM4 SerDes TX/RX validation, using equipment like high-speed BERTs and oscilloscopes.
- Experience with PCIe interconnect devices (e.g. PCIe Switch, Bridge, Retimer, Redriver) is required.
- Prior exposure in an Application Engineering or Field Application Engineering role working directly with customers to understand and resolve issues.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
- Knowledge of C and/or Python is a plus
- Optical interconnect product experience is a plus.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)121,400 – 181,800, $ per annum
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
