Qualifications:
- Experience & Education
Experience: 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role preferred (can be informal leadership).
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Leadership & Communication
Strong leadership skills: ability to manage, motivate, and delegate.
Clear and professional communication with team members and customers.
Ability to resolve conflicts and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Organizational Skills
Time management: balancing daily tasks, scheduling, and shift management.
Attention to detail, especially in handling money, orders, and customer concerns.
- Technical Proficiencies (Minor but Necessary)
Excel:
Basic spreadsheet use (data entry, sorting, simple formulas like SUM or AVERAGE).
Tracking sales, labor hours, or inventory.
Toast (or similar POS system):
Navigating the POS interface for sales, order entry, and adjustments.
Running basic reports (e.g. daily sales, labor cost, voids).
Minor back-end use such as menu edits or employee log-ins.
Familiarity with email, scheduling software (like Homebase, 7shifts, or Google Calendar), and basic file management.
- Work Ethic & Flexibility
Willingness to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Open availability.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Willingness to step into other roles if short-staffed.
What You’ll Do:
Start with on the job training receiving mentorship from experienced staff and management.
After training, you’ll take on key responsibilities such as:
Opening the restaurant and following through on running operations side work.
Closing the restaurant and completing end of night responsibilities.
Leading, training, and mentoring staff.
Overseeing inventory management and ensuring operational efficiency.
Administrative responsibilities.
Hiring and developing team members.
Supporting daily operations and maintaining high standards of service.
Engaging with guests to create memorable dining experiences.
Collaborating with a management team to ensure the restaurant’s success.
