Music Marketing Strategist

Swoon is currently looking for a Music Marketing Strategist for a major music company in the US

  • Location: Santa Monica, CA
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Pay Rate: $40/h

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize & Create: Lead the optimization of existing playlists and develop new catalogue and frontline playlists to enhance listener engagement.
  • Campaign Management: Direct and co-manage international “Always On” centralized ad campaigns, closely collaborating with media planners and buyers.
  • Programmatic Analysis: Execute detailed programmatic analyses to understand playlist behaviors across various consumer types, territories, and global streaming partners.
  • Insights-Driven Strategy: Utilize consumer insights and analytics to inform effective playlisting initiatives and strategic marketing decisions.
  • Multi-Territory Coordination: Manage multi-territory streaming campaigns, ensuring seamless collaboration with key stakeholders and effective budget management.
  • Performance Reporting: Produce and execute scheduled priority playlist performance reports to evaluate effectiveness and drive improvements.
  • Creative Thinking: Go beyond traditional SEO to creatively drive growth and engagement while understanding the interconnectedness of all business components.
  • Agency Collaboration: Work with internal and external creative agencies to optimize budget allocation and ad inventory for effective playlisting opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with music strategies, global commercial partnerships, and consumer marketing teams to enhance overall strategy.
  • Tool Utilization: Collaborate with commercial technologies to leverage existing playlist optimization tools and advocate for new tool development.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze and share the effects of playlisting and marketing initiatives, adapting strategies in response to changes.
  • Opportunity Maximization: Work with digital account leads to identify and capitalize on opportunities across business partners.
  • Best Practices: Learn and share best practices across teams to continually improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for a wide range of music genres, with a specific focus on children’s music, new releases, and catalogues.
  • Strong understanding of global streaming partners and the international marketplace.
  • Proven innovative thinker with experience in marketing practices and audience growth and acquisition.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with various stakeholders.
